By focusing on aesthetics and integrating smart features into Mysa, Empowered Homes is positioning Mysa as the leading high voltage thermostat.

Joshua Green

Co-Founder & CEO

Joshua has two guiding principles: helping people and doing his part to help the environment. Joshua founded Empowered Homes with nothing more than these guiding principles and knowledge of energy systems he gained while completing his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University in 2013. Joshua also has a deep love for problem-solving and carries the role of technical lead developer for all aspects related to the development of the smart thermostat system.

Zachary Green

Co-Founder & COO

Zachary shares many of the same principles as his brother and co-founder. Zachary is a graduate Memorial University of Newfoundland with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2016. Although he has a technical background, Zachary’s interests lie in the business aspects of the company, and therefore, he handles most the company’s business operations.
