We've learned a lot since launching Mysa. Building a versatile, fully featured product from the ground up has been a learning process for the ever-growing Mysa team, and we've managed to consistently deliver new features and updates ever since. While some deadlines have been stretched, we've had a dedicated base of users both inside and outside the company help make sure that every new addition is functional and in tip-top shape before we ever include them in our app/play store releases. As our features get more advanced and we require more feedback from more customers, we've decided to take a new approach.
It gives everyone a chance to help make Mysa the best thermostat on the market.
Introducing: Mysa Labs! These are features that we've been working on to help make Mysa the most user-friendly and fully featured electric heating solution on the market. Things that make sure your home is perfect and comfy, that you have more control over your electricity bills, and help to make Mysa the smartest device in your home.
These features are exactly what they sound like: experimental. This means that they are still works-in-progress, and we've included them because they are at the point where we are confident that we could use more feedback. This doesn't mean that these features will end up being improved – or included at all! They may be changed completely, integrated into the app in different ways, or dropped altogether. That's all part of this testing process and our commitment to getting things right and making every Mysa customer's experience the best it can be.
And best of all, they are completely optional.
You may be asking: How do I use these features?
Well, they're turned off by default. But if you click on the settings tab, you'll see Experimental Features listed with an On/Off toggle. It will give you a little disclaimer about the nature of these features. Once you turn them on, they'll show up in the menu with a little beaker symbol to denote that they are only experimental features. Feel free to use them, but expect some bugs along the way – they'll still in development, of course.
We're striving to make Mysa the best Smart Thermostat on the market and this is just another step forward for us. If you feel like trying out some new (if unpolished) features, let's start experimenting together!
