Can I control Mysa from my phone?

Yes. The free Mysa app gives you complete temperature control from your phone. Full control means adjusting your thermostat from bed, work, or vacation.

Can I use Mysa with GFCI breakers?

It depends on the product. Mysa for Baseboard is generally compatible with GFCI breakers. However, Mysa for In-Floor includes its own built-in GFCI protection and should not be installed on a circuit that is already protected by a GFCI breaker to avoid nuisance tripping.

Does it require Wi-Fi?

Yes. Mysa needs a 2.4 GHz WiFi connection to enable remote control, voice commands, smart home integration, and app-based features like energy reports . Without WiFi, the thermostat still regulates temperature using manual controls on the device itself, but you lose all smart functionality. Make sure your WiFi signal reaches the thermostat location before installation

Does Mysa have a microphone or speaker?

No. It's a thermostat, not a listening device. We believe those experiences are best left to a smart home speaker that's likely updated more often than your thermostat.

Does Mysa heat the room or just the floor?

Does Mysa heat the room or just the floor? It controls both. Choose your preferred mode in the app: Floor Mode: Targets specific floor surface temperature. Ambient Mode: Monitors air temperature to heat the room. Floor temperature limits remain active to prevent damage. Note: You must install the floor sensor. Mysa will not operate without it.

Floor Temperature Limits
Safe for hardwood, laminate, and luxury vinyl flooring when installed to code. Select your floor type in the app during set up to increase max floor temperature to 40°C (104°F). Floor sensor must be installed for operation of the thermostat.

Not Compatible

Hydronic (water-based) in-floor loops are not controlled directly by this thermostat. For hydronic systems, use Mysa for Central HVAC with a low voltage thermostat that controls your boiler.
Replacing Class B GFCI thermostat, and must be installed as the only GFCI device on the circuit.

Very nice device, worked flawlessly out of the box. This is my second unit, and I'm very satisfied. Too bad they don't sell through distributors.

Mysa in-floor installation

I installed four Mysa in-floor thermostats with no significant problems and have access to my settings, even from Mexico!

However, floors seem cool most of the time even though the temperature is correct. Is this due to proportional heating where a lower average current is sent to the heaters?
Also, the large size of the wall units places the reset button in an unreachable location against the door molding (for one unit only). A reset on the top of the unit would have been a better choice.
Is there a way to lower the display brightness? Middle of the night, when very dark elsewhere, the bathroom is lit up by the temperature display.

Finally - full control over heating costs

With the MYSA electric infloor heating and baseboard thermostats and the app, I have full control and visibility of how much each of my radiant floors/ electric baseboards are heating my home. I was able to easily optimize how each system uses electricity. Both the individual view and whole home view on energy usage are extremely useful.

Return policy issues

I ordered thermostats which turned out to be the wrong model for my system and while they were under 30 day warranty when I process the warranty, I received $200 less than what I paid.

Easy to install. For the instructions the guide helps but there's also a YouTube video that is good to watch (should be included in instructions as an option as well).

One advice is I didn't know the resistance of my in-floor sensor (no longer have manual). Thankfully I have a laser thermometer gun (can get at Costco for ~20$) and was able to try a few settings before finding the one that matched the floor temperature.

Homekit setup: was fairly painless. First attempt failed (I think this is due to some quirks in HK). I just reset the Mysa and paired again. One thing is that HK thinks there's a cooling option on the thermostat (which is not correct)

I couldn't be happier with my 12 baseboard thermostats and 1 in-floor heating thermostat.
Very easy to install and understand the app and scheduling.
The only option I miss is the possibility to view my thermostat in selected time zone, I travel all over the world and it would be easier if i could toggle between my real time (my location) and my Home address time.
